Muffins for Mom

Today was a special day at preschool. The class invited their moms for a special morning: Muffins for Mom. The kids made muffins and served them to us along with grapes, orange juice and lemonade. They were so proud of their beautiful table setting (flowers and all).

When I entered the room, Patrick brought the whole tray of muffins to me!

After he put 4 on his plate, we were able to convince him to share some with Finn...

before he started sneaking some more!

Lizzy & Ginny had their mom, Sara, along with Great Aunt Cindy and Grandma for the special morning.

I got my wonderful boys all to myself!

We all enjoyed the muffins...

and posed for a picture with Ms. Hanaa.

Thank you, Finnegan and Patrick, for a very special morning.

It was Raining, It was Pouring

but our day wasn't boring!

It has been raining for days, but yesterday we were able to keep really busy and have lots of fun. While Sully napped, Patrick, Finn and I painted, played with Playdough, and made a carwash (in the sink) for all the matchbox cars.

Once he woke up, Sully played with Liliana. And, they obviously have no toys to play with....

because they played, and even fought over, spatulas!

When we had a break in the rain, I put the big boys in their rain boots, the babies in the wagon, and we went searching for Muddy Puddles.

And, yes, we found them!

Finn and Patrick played games jumping into the puddles and tried to make a big enough splash to get the other one wet

They had so much fun, but the babies thought they were CRAZY!!

This picture is my favorite -

Then, they played another mud game involving getting stuck in it,

and rescuing each other. I don't get the appeal, but loved to watch them have so much fun.
The best was, every time they announced "i'm rescuing you", the other replied "thanks for rescuing me" and then "you're welcome". It may have been messy mud, but they still minded their manners!

Sullivan and Liliana loved watching the big kids

especially when they stopped to give them hugs,

and smile for a picture!

When it was time for lunch, I made my own little "theater" and all 4 kids watched Baby Einstein. The big guys were "teaching" the babies all about the animals on the farm.

In the afternoon, we went to the Poole's for a playdate.
Isabella was so sweet and loved all over Sully.

Jenna watched, taking in all the chaos that I brought to her peaceful home

and Patrick played patiently with Lil.

The rain did not stop us from having a great day!
