Happy Halloween!

Today was nothing short of Spooktacular.

We started off the day with a special family Halloween Breakfast.
The boys got treat bags from Mom and Dad

Sully was more interested in the plate

There was tons of laughter...

Halloween Stickers everywhere...

And a mysterious Munchkin Muncher!

After breakfast, we went for a bike ride and stopped for a picture with Liliana.
(Lil and Sully are wearing the outfits that Patrick and Finnegan wore for their first Halloween)

The entire family pitched in to help get ready for our Trick or Treating Party.

Ready to go!

Princess Aurora, aka Isabella, was our first guest to arrive and she looked Fabulous!

The kids colored pumpkin pictures, enjoyed some candy necklaces and blew bubbles.

and they are off!!

The kids had so much fun trick or treating. They were an impatient bunch, if someone didn't come to the door within 15 seconds, they were on to the next house!

We stayed out well past bedtime and by the end Patrick was in the wagon and I was holding Sully.
The kids all had a blast, came home and crashed!
(Thank goodness the sugar high didn't keep them awake.)
It was a perfect Halloween.

BooTanical Outing

Today we visited the Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens for the Halloween Party - The BOOtanical. It was a gorgeous day, and spending it in the gardens was absolutely perfect.

The boys all wore halloween shirts and I got a little festive as well!
(Good thing they are too young to be embarrassed by mom yet)

Our first activity was making a scarecrow.
The boys and I colored a face on a piece of burlap.

Patrick and Finnegan helped Gill stuff the head and the clothes with straw.

They attached the scarecrow to the wood -

and were thrilled with the results!

Next, Patrick and Finn ventured to the fountains with Gill...

and decided to take the risk and run through the fountain...

Again and Again!

Our last stop was planting spider plants, they each got to take one home.

Finn, Jack, Ryan and Patrick

It was a BOOtiful day!

A "Haunted" Train Ride

Today, we took the train uptown to Imaginon for a Fall Festival. Finn, Jack and Patrick were deliriously excited about the ride. All 5 boys travelled so well, they said hello to everyone who boarded the train and Finn wanted to know everyone's name.

When we arrived at Imaginon, our morning turned from fun to haunted. Imaginon was packed. There was no room to play, no room to celebrate and certainly no room to be able to keep an eye on the kids. Therefore, with some quick planning, we walked 3 blocks and ended up at Discovery Place. We had so much fun! We had a "spooky" lunch and played and played and played. The boys were none the wiser that our original plans were spoiled and just really enjoyed playing together.

After hours of play, we boarded the train back home. Julie and I were so impressed that Jack and Finnegan were cuddling up together, until we figured out they were just enjoying a candy necklace!!

Preschool Halloween

Today was Patrick and Finnegan's Halloween Parade and Class Party.
They were beyond excited for the big day. We prepared all the goodies for the party, but while looking at the spread last night, Patrick announced, "I don't want Cupcakes at the party, I want to give my friends Pumpkin Pie!"

and that's why I got up extra early this morning....

Dressed for school...

costumes on and ready to go!

The boys waited so patiently in the car line.
They could not wait to go inside and show Ms. Hanaa their costumes!

So happy that Gill was able to be there for the parade. He and Sully waited for all the kids to arrive. Sully kicked his feet the second he saw Tigger and Pooh!

What a parade!

The Class Photo

At 12:30 I went back to school for the Halloween Party. The kids sang a special Pumpkin Song to the parents, played a game of mouse and ghost and then sat down for snacks.

Sully found his own way to stay occupied - he was the centerpiece on the table...

and then stopped in the reading corner to enjoy a book!

Such a happy, wonderful day - not only for the kids!

and, there is more Halloween Fun to come!!
