Sullivan's Baptism

Sunday, April 25th our son, Sullivan, was Baptized at Saint Matthew Catholic Church.

We were honored to have Sara Weltz and Mike Rodgers as Godparents.
They have shown such love to our entire family

Finnegan and Patrick looked on as Sullivan was Baptized.
With the help of Ella and Faye, they behaved VERY well!

We Baptized Sully in the Baptismal Fountain

We are so blessed to have Sullivan

The priest also anointed him with oil

and the Grandparents.

After the ceremony, we had a reception at our home with our friends and family

We were so lucky to be surrounded by such wonderful people

Finnegan and Patrick loved on Nana....

while Sully loved on his Godparents.

But, Pop Pop got the last laugh - taking Sully away from everyone!

It was a perfect day.

Weekend Activities

This weekend our home was filled with family and friends here to celebrate Sullivan's Baptism.

We prepared for the visits with welcome boxes for our out of town guests...

and a fridge stocked with all the necessities!

Sully's Godfather, Mike Rodgers, arrived on Wednesday evening to spend some quality time with our family.  It was great to watch him interact with my little boys - they LOVED playing with him.  Nancy, Faye and Ella Rodgers joined the celebration on Friday.  We were surprised (and happy) to have Brendan show up on Friday night as well, and all enjoyed a late supper.

On Saturday we had a cookout for our families.  We loved watching the Rodgers Girls and Kilcoyne Boys play together.  It was the first time our kids had met and it was so special.  Faye and Ella were so patient and caring.  Patrick declared, "Patrick and Finnegan LOVE Faye and Ella" and I don't blame them one bit!

Aunt Nancy snuggled up with Sully

and Sully even had a date for the afternoon - Little Liliana who rolled over to be closer to him!

After the cookout was over, Nancy and I took the girls for pedicures.  We all enjoyed being pampered, but I think the girls may have had more fun - their pedicure chairs were adorable and came complete with DVD players!!

It was such a special weekend - we loved spending time with friends and family!

A Day of Sweets

Yesterday afternoon was filled with all things sweet.

First, the boys and I baked some brownies for this weekend's company.
Now, for all you non-batter-eating people out there, you may want to cover your eyes....

After we were done baking and Sully woke up from his nap, he had a playdate with Liliana, the sweetest girl on the block!

Finnegan was a great chaperone...

But even being supervised, they still managed to hold hands - HOW SWEET!

High Flying Breakfast

This morning we had a special picnic breakfast.  Gill and I took the boys to the Overlook at Charlotte Airport.  We sat on the benches with our bagels and waited for the planes to take off...

After a few planes "blasted off", the boys stopped to pose for a picture.
We had remind Finn and Patrick to hold Sully's head up...

But they finally got it!

We loved watching the planes race down the runway...

and even though we were at the airport, there was time to race cars as well!

It was a great morning - a breakfast I will never forget!

Construction

We've had some major construction going on in the house this week.  Gill, Finn and Patrick have been working hard using the "wood" and "tools" from the boys' toolbench to build all sorts of wonderful things.

They have had a blast building and in the end, we had some very practical additions to the household - like a wooden rocketship!

Breakfast in Bed

When Gill and I were newlyweds, we would have Breakfast in Bed on Sunday Mornings.
I am proud to say that 8 years later and we are continuing the tradition....

Instead of one handsome man in bed, there are four!

Mimosas and Croissants have been replaced with sippy cups and cereal...

Gill is still being fed his breakfast...

but now cuddles with someone that doesn't insist on spooning!

What a great Sunday morning!
