Redemption

Yes, I will admit, after the flood, we have all been a bit hesitant to do any "projects"

But, this past week, Gill, Patrick and Finnegan got back to it - building a new sandbox.
The saws were out, the eyes protected, the water pipes far away...

and our backyard now has a fabulous new sandbox!

Great Job Guys!

President's Day at the Park

Yesterday, was the most gorgeous day.
The boys and I took advantage of the weather and spent the morning at Freedom Park -
soaking in the sunshine.

We had a picnic...

played on the playground...

and fed the ducks. mulch.
We fed the ducks mulch, 'cause we ate all the crackers!

It was a sweet, sun-filled day with my sweet sons.

Transportation Day

Today, the focus was all things "transportation" - surprise surprise.

We started off the day car shopping.
With only 6 weeks left on our lease, we're on the hunt for a car that holds our
not-so-small family of growing boys.
After spending hours putting smudgy fingerprints on the well-polished showroom cars,
we jumped on the light rail train to go uptown.

Patrick and Finn LOVED the train ride and held tightly to their tickets.

Even Sully squealed on the "Choo Choo" ride (and yes, he does say "Choo Choo")

When we arrived uptown, we went to Pike's Soda Shop (www.pikessodashop.com)

We enjoyed old fashioned sandwiches, milk shakes and the most delicious onion rings.

Finn and his Strawberry Milkshake!

Gill, Patrick and his great kid's meal (look at the cute tray!)

On the way back on the train, the boys declared the adventure to be "so much fun",
and I couldn't agree more!

Valentine's Recap

Our Valentine's Day celebration spanned over 5 days.

The Thursday before, Patrick and Finnegan had their Valentine's Party at school. We were still living in the hotel, but managed to make cards for our class, dress in our red, and bring our goodies to school in red mailboxes. The boys were so proud to hand out their Valentines and bring chocolates to their favorite teachers.

Sully and I arrived later in the morning for the party. He made a friend with a little girl in the class - who gave him a cookie!

The Weltz and Kilcoyne Valentines!

We were able to move back home during the weekend - talk about LOVE!!

On Valentine's Day, we went to a special playdate with the Pooles.
The boys were all fired up for it, and were not at all let down.
Melissa had the house decorated perfectly and had all kinds of special treats for the kids.

Sullivan's Birthday Party

On Sunday we celebrated Sullivan's First Birthday with a party at Gymboree. This party was not the original plan, as a matter of fact, we had a SMALL party at home planned for Sully's big day, but once "the flood" hit, we had to re-plan the party. Off to Gymboree we went!

Sullivan, Patrick and Finnegan had a great time playing

as did all their friends, big and small!

Our Family Picture - Yes, Finn is absolutely exhausted!

NaNa, Mommy and the Birthday Boy!

Sully continued to bring balls back to PopPop to play!

We had a great time with family and friends. The highlight of the party was Sully and his cupcake - he loved it! He ate the frosting, smeared it on his face, rubbed it in his hair - it was everywhere and absolutely fabulous!

It was a fantastic way to celebrate our baby boy's First Birthday!
