Masterpiece Monday

On Friday, Sully went to play at Liliana's house WITHOUT Mommy.
When I returned, not only were he and LaLa all smiles, but they presented me with this masterpiece!

Season Opener

Despite the rain and mud - the tee ball season opened yesterday morning with the Sharks' first game!

We got the uniforms right before the game was to begin,
Finnegan announced his socks would not match the purple uniform,
but be his favorite color, orange, instead!
The team heads out to the mound
(Finn far left, Patrick far right)
 Finnegan is on deck
Finn's first time at bat.  He hit off the tee and did great.
The second time up, he hit the ball from a coach pitch!!
Patrick's turn at bat.  (Notice Finnegan on first)
Patrick gave it his all and ran very fast around the bases!
I wasn't joking about the weather - the rain may have bothered some,
but it kept Sullivan VERY happy!
Patrick and Finnegan had so much fun at their first official game.  Gill was right there by their side, as the 3rd base coach.  It is truly something our entire family can participate it - P&F Play, Gill assistant coaches, Sully entertains the crowds with his jumps in the puddle and I am team mom.

Looks to be an exciting season!

St. Patrick's Day

How lucky we were to spend the day together as a family -
That's the Luck of the Irish!

 Meeting the team...
 Patrick Swings!
 Finnegan's turn!
It's going to be a great season!  I think it's going to be a great season and an exciting new experience.  Watch out Jeter - here we come!

Campout

Even though they share a room,
Patrick and Finnegan were still thrilled at the idea of a sleepover -
especially when it included a tent!
Pillows, lovies, blankets and flashlights - they were ready to go!
They slept through the night (and the following night) curled up together in the tent.

Happy Birthday, LaLa

Today Sully and I walked across the street to celebrate Liliana's 2nd Birthday.
It was a fantastic Brown Bear, Brown Bear Party
While there were lots of kids to play with, Sully focused only on his "LaLa"
Sweet friends open wide for sweet treats.
Happy Birthday, Liliana - we love you!

Lunch Date

Sullivan had a lunch date with his favorite girl today.
He and Liliana played, had lunch and then we went for a nice long stroll.
These little friends are so sweet to each other.

Lil kept reminding Sully to "sit and eat" during lunch.  After eating for a few minutes, Sully got up, banged on the pantry and said "Juice box".  When I opened the cabinet, he grabbed TWO and brought one back for his LaLa.

On the walk, Sully was touching Lil's bow and saying "off".  Lil promptly responded, "no Sully, mine!"

The are such great friends and such little characters.

Super Kid Finnegan

Today was Finnegan's SuperKid Day at school.
It was a fantastic morning, celebrating all things Finny.
Yesterday, the big guys made Finn's special treat for the class, cupcakes, of course.
We had fun playing with food coloring until we had the right shade of orange frosting.
Add Finn McMissile Juice boxes, and you have a Super Finn Snack!
Gill joined us for lunch.  Mommy and Daddy sat at the lunch table with Sully and Super Kid while Patrick sat with his friends at the other table with his friends.  Sully felt like such a big boy, that when lunch was over, he grabbed some markers and got to work.
Finn did an excellent job telling the class all about himself.  He brought his favorite toys and gladly passed them around for all to see.  Finn brought his photo album and showed his friends every picture while giving very descriptive narratives.  He even pointed to a spot on the carpet, called it the "Question Button" and told his friends that if they wanted to ask him anything, they needed to hit the button.  How clever - and funny that all the kids were hitting the carpet!
We read some of Finnegan's favorite stories -
Spooky Stories with Lightning McQueen and Curious George.
Finnegan even made his own book about Percy the Train and shared them with the class.
I loved celebrating Super Finnegan.  This caring boy wears his heart on his sleeve and shows such enthusiasm for everything he does.  He has the kindest heart and the biggest smiles.
Finnegan, you truly are a SUPER KID!
