Thanksgiving 2012

All the boys had off on Wednesday and we spent the day preparing for Thanksgiving.
There was baking...
and more baking...
with great results!
We had arts and crafts...
and created the cutest place-cards for the table!
As a special treat, Sully took his big brothers to Art Class with him.
He was so excited to have them there with him.
They painted, sang songs, made turkeys and built with blocks.
After art, we met Nannie and Pop Pop for lunch and
then headed back to their house for an afternoon of golf.
While Patrick and Finnegan played on the driving range with PopPop, Sully and I played on our own. He piled the hole with 14 golf balls and then hit the rest into the sand trap.

Early Thanksgiving Morning, the table was already set and we left the house early so I could run the Charlotte Turkey Trot 8K.
Gill, Patrick, Finnegan, Sully, Mom and Dad were all at the finish line waiting for me.
It was a great way to kick off the day (and a good reason to eat two pieces of pie!)

After a long shower it was time to get ready for dinner.
Gill prepared a beautiful turkey (and hey, my turkey veggie platter wasn't bad either!)
The appetizers had just been put out and then... Sully arrived!
 Cheer to a Happy Thanksgiving!

We have so much to be thankful for, especially all these big smiles!
Happy Thanksgiving!

Turkey Leg Hat

Yesterday Sully made a Turkey Leg Hat at Preschool.
When the teachers asked him what he was thankful for to write on his hat,
he said "my mouth".
When they questioned it he said "Yes, I like my mouth".

Thankful Pumpkin Turkeys

This afternoon the big guys created Thankful Pumpkin Turkeys.
On each paper feather, Patrick and Finnegan wrote one thing they are thankful for.
They worked so hard writing the words and drawing pictures to go with them.
With no help from Mom, they came up with fantastic feathers.  Everything from family members to God to school friends and more.  I was very proud that they were able to acknowledge all the wonderful things in their lives.
I think the turkeys are fantastic!
I'm thankful to have such sweet and clever boys!

Halloween 2012

This Halloween started with a super scary breakfast -
Ghost Toast, Monster Eyeballs and Very Scary Bed-Head!
I packed a creepy lunch for Patrick and Finnegan
Sully and I went to the playground with Athena and Sebastian
and then to art class where Sully painted a pumpkin and dumped glitter all over it, awesome!
Before we knew it, the big guys were home, the party was setup
and it was time to celebrate Halloween!
 Our SuperHero Family
Batman (Patrick) The Hulk (Gill) Sullivan (Robin)
Jul (Wonder Woman) and Finnegan (Captain America)

We had a lot of friends join us for our celebration
Even the adults got into the spirit!
 My Heros
After the party was over, it was time to hit the streets.
Sully had a blast and cheered every time he got a piece of candy and got a lot of help from his big brothers.  The best part when he took the entire bowl of candy that a neighbor had left on their doorstep!  (Don't worry, we put it back)
By the end of the night, the treat bags were full and the kids exhausted -
2 signs of a great Halloween!
