Valentine's Day

This Valentine's Day kept us busy busy!
I got up early this morning to get the boys their favorite Valentine's Donuts and we all had a special breakfast together.
By 9 am, we were at Patrick and Finn's last basketball game of the season.  The boys had an awesome game and then after received their awards and celebrated with their team.
After basketball, Gill took over with the boys and took them all (along with a friend) to Monkey Joe's for a birthday party while i headed uptown with Rebecca.  We participated in a fun, unusual, Valentine's Run.  It was the Cupid's Run, to raise funds for The Children's Tumor Foundation.
Everyone there ran… IN THEIR UNDERWEAR!
Yes, it was crazy.  Yes, it was fun.  But most importantly, it was for such a great cause.

One Day, Two playdates!

This morning was a boys morning.  Patrick and Finnegan each had a buddy from school over to play.  Sully went to play with his neighborhood friend, Gabriel.  The big boys played video games, built legos and even made clay models.  When Sully came home, he joined in the fun for a while before we had pizza delivered for all the dudes.
Almost immediately after the boys left, Bridget and Emily arrived!
The kiddos all played Super Heros and made lots of Valentines.

Sully's Valentine's Party

Today, Sully celebrated Valentine's Day at school.
He insisted that we bring Ms. Gloria and Ms. Carol red roses!
I helped with his class party and brought all the classmates heart balloons
The kiddos did a craft and enjoyed Valentine's cupcakes
In a class with 13 girls, these 3 sweet dudes have to stick together!
It feels very strange to think that this is the last preschool Valentine's Day I will celebrate with my boys.  I love watching my boys grow up, but I really wish I could freeze these sweet, special moments in time.

Masterpiece Monday

This year the boys decided to design their own Valentines instead of buying them.
I gave them all art supplies and large pieces of paper.  They each designed their own, they I scanned them, printed 24 small versions of each and mounted them on matching card stock.  All the boys (even Sully) wrote out all their classmates names on the valentines.
Finnegan's Outer Space Love Card
"Houston, we have a Valentine!"
Patrick
"I will kiss my sword - SMOOCH!"
Sully's hearts
The finished products!
I LOVE these cards!

Sully's 5th Birthday Party

Today, our sweet Super Sully turned 5 years old.
We had a big celebration for our Big Boy, and he was so excited for his special day.
All of Sully's SuperFriends were invited, and they all came to the big event.
When our guests arrived, they were invited to grab a mask and "hero up"
Liliana, Sully and Jenna - his oldest friends
Sully and Cooper - his preschool buddy
The playgroup!
Nicholas, Sully and Susanna
Arden, Sully and Elise - his soccer girls!
Sully and Mommy
(I'm super disappointed I didn't get a picture of Sully with Athena and Sebastian or Drew & Evan, but you can see Athena and Sebastian in the picture below, holding up the parachute!)
The kids had a blast in the gym, playing parachute, jumping, swinging, rolling and flying like heroes!
Before we knew it, it was time for Sully to make a wish and blow out his 5 candles.
It was really an awesome day for our big guy.  I don't know how he grew up so fast, but I couldn't be more proud.  Sully is such a smart, sweet and funny boy.  He makes everyone around him smile, and makes my heart feel so full.
Happy Birthday Super Sullivan, we love you!

Scouting for Food

Today Patrick and Finnegan participated in the annual Scouting for Food with the cub scouts.  Before they went out collecting food for the homeless food pantry, they were amongst a small group of scouts interviewed by NBC newsman, Larry Sprinkle, for the morning news.

I'm so proud of the boys, not because they were on tv, but for all the good they did for those in need.

Sully's Class Party

Today we celebrated Sully's birthday at school.
Ms. Carol and Ms. Gloria greeted him with a big birthday banner!
At the end of the school day, I came to school with his Ninja Turtle Cupcake-Cake and Ninja turtles skateboards for the class.
It was a great way to kick off Sully's birthday weekend!
