Outing with friends

Today we went to the Main Street Children's Museum with Athena and Sebastian.
Much to my dismay, I think it may be our last trip there, as Sully is outgrowng it and Patrick and Finnegan already have.  Fortunately, the three kiddos had a great time playing.
After a few hours of playing it was time for lunch
Rock Hill was having music in the park, so we had a picnic lunch while enjoyed the musician play his guitar and sing.  (And yes, the highlight may have been throwing coins in his guitar box)

Masterpiece Monday

Today the boys brought in their insect projects to school.  They worked for weeks making their models using styrofoam balls, pipe cleaners, tulle and lots of paint!

Patrick's Mosquito and Finnegan's Parasitic Wasp
In addition to their 3D models, they created diagrams and information index cards to use for their class presentation.  Great job boys!

First Holy Communion

This weekend was a very special one for our family as
Patrick and Finnegan celebrated their First Holy Communion.
They looked so handsome in their beautiful suits and ties from Nannie and PopPop.  On their lapels were the gold crosses they wore at their Baptism, 7 years ago.

Outside the church, our family gathered before mass.
We were so honored that Aunt Rosemarie, Uncle Alex and Lucas made the trip from Brooklyn for the occasion.  We love Godmomma Rosemarie!
Sweet friends, Patrick, Isabella and Finnegan
not to be outdone by their older siblings,
cuties Jenna and Sully posed for a picture in church!
Anxious parents wait for the kids to arrive into the sanctuary
Much to our surprise, Patrick and Finnegan brought up the gifts during the mass.  We were thrilled to see them on the altar receiving a special blessing from Monseigneur McSweeny.
After the beautiful mass was over, it was time to go home
and celebrate with our family and friends!
 Love these boys!
We had a beautiful cake and coordinating cupcakes...

and custom cross cookies for favors
For dinner, we had an italian dinner catered from our favorite restaurant,
and the bar was setup on our front porch.
To keep all the kiddos happy, we brought in a giant bounce house for the occasion.  In addition we had frisbees, tattoos, slingshot planes and lots of bubbles for the kids.
Family pictures
Sully got lots of love and attention - it didn't all go to his big brothers!!
Time to cut the delicious cake!
(One tier of chocolate, one tier of vanilla and carrot cake cupcakes)
We felt so lucky to be surrounded by such wonderful friends and family on the special day
 God Bless Patrick and Finnegan
