Milestone Mondays

On Patrick and Finnegan's first day of school,
Sullivan was determined not to let his Big Brother's outshine him.
He decided that it was a great day to start sitting by himself - Unassisted!

Apparently, all my boys are so big that no one needs Mommy anymore.

Another Day of Firsts

Today, Sully and I had some firsts of our own.
We had some special Mommy and Me Time while
Finnegan and Patrick attended their second day of preschool
(and yes, I may take a picture every morning)

First, we had a special playdate with Johanna and Liliana.
Sully loved exploring Lil's toys and play area

Liliana was a doll and entertained us all!

and the cute couple comforted each other...

when Mommy had snapped too many pictures and began to annoy them.

They ended the playdate with some rolls along the floor and spooning!

After we left Liliana, Sully and I went to our first class at Gymboree. I started Gymboree when Patrick and Finngan were 2 and was curious to see what it would be like with the baby class. It did not disappoint. We played, sang songs and had quality Mommy and Me Time - it was perfect!

It was an absolutely fantastic morning, I loved having one on one time with my little baby.

First Day of School

Today, Patrick and Finnegan began preschool.
We were all excited for the big day and had really talked it up with the boys.
After last week's meeting with Ms. Hanaa, it was all they could talk about, so it was no surprise when Patrick put his backpack on at 7:45 this morning and refused to take it off!

Hair Gelled and Ready to Go!

As is tradition with all our special days, Johanna met us outside to take our picture.

When we got to preschool, we met the Weltz Family. Unfortunately, Lizzy was not feeling well today and would not be joining Ginny, Patrick and Finnegan in class. So, while Aunt Sara brought Preston and Ginny to school, Patrick and Finnegan tried to entertain a sick Lizzy waiting in the car.

When we arrived to class, Ms. Hanaa greeted Patrick and Finnegan with great big smiles and hugs. The boys wasted no time jumping into playtime.

It was a great start to what is going to be a wonderful school year!

Blast off Sunday

Today was a blast, literally!

First thing this morning, we went to the Airport lookout
to watch the planes "blast off into outer space"

After, we visited the playground, where Patrick and Finnegan launched themselves around,
while Sully was fascinated by his hands.

In the afternoon, Patrick and Finnegan played one of their favorite games with Daddy - Rockets!

They took turns launching the rockets up higher than the house and then both boys ran to retrieve them. They love playing this with Daddy and would still be doing it late into the evening, if I didn't convince them to come inside.

Beautiful weather, happy kids, quality time - today was a BLAST!

Studly Saturday

So lucky to spend an afternoon at the pool with all my Handsome Guys!

Morning at the Park

Yesterday, we had a peaceful morning at The Nature Museum and Freedom Park.

Patrick and Finnegan walked hand in hand...

we visited the playground, the swings and the old steam engine.

We finished off a wonderful morning with a picnic lunch.

Nothing could be better.

Flashback Friday

This week, Sullivan had his first ride in our wagon.
When the boys were little, it was the only way we comfortably went for walks.
They loved their wagon and we used it for years.

These days, things are a bit different. Finn sat in the wagon to "take special care of Baby Sully"
and Patrick insisted on pulling his brothers around the block. It took a lot of time and a lot of strength,
but he pulled them all the way down the block!

Sully loved his new ride - he watched the cars going by, Maggie walking next to him,

and Big Brother Finnegan trying to make him smile by playing Peak-a-Boo!
(Sully is not so happy today, as he's getting his first 2 teeth)

I'm so glad that we're making more wonderful memories in the wagon.

Meet the Teacher Day

This morning, our family went to the Boys' New Preschool to meet their teacher, Miss Hanaa. She had a welcome tea for us so we could discuss the school year and get the boys comfortable with the class before school begins on Tuesday.

To make it a bit easier on Miss Hanaa, Patrick and Finnegan wore their special name shirts,
and just in case their was any doubt, Sully had a special shirt as well!

It was a wonderful morning and we are looking forward to a fantastic school year!

Happy Hair!

Today, we visited Pigtails and Crewcuts for our First Day of School Haircuts.
We celebrated the success of two stylish haircuts and no tears with a stop at the ice cream store!

Patrick enjoyed his plain vanilla ice cream
(Thrilled that I didn't taint it with sprinkles)

and even shared some with Finnegan.

Finn ate up all of his special treat and thought his haircut was so cool that it gave him
Super Powers!

Wordless Wednesday
