Masterpiece Monday

Last week, Sara had us over for a special baking playdate.

 The big kids worked hard rolling, cutting and decorating their cookies and the results -

 Delicious Halloween Masterpieces!!

Peg and Neil Visit

Last week, Grandma Peg & Grandpa Neil came for a quick visit -

and brought with them....

A Giant Remote Control Spider!!

 The giant spider may have been the surprise of the night, but the next day the boys were surprised again with story time at school with Grandma and Grandpa.

 After school we visited the local farm for hayrides, duck races and hay mazes.

Too Big Tuesday

Sully recently proved that he is too big for child-locks - 

especially when a lock on the pantry is all that's keeping him from his favorite snack!

Masterpiece Monday

Last weekend, we created a family masterpiece made mostly out of items we were no longer using.  Gill found some wood in the garage and the big guys got to work building.

After, we went to our local farm and picked up a couple bales of hay -

then we got to work stuffing our old clothes to create...

 Our Scarecrow Family!!

 I love doing projects that the whole family can participate in.  (While you don't see him in the pictures, Sully was having a blast pulling hay and helping to stuff the clothing!)

Aw Shucks

Today we went to Aw Shucks to celebrate Sara's Birthday.

 Everyone enjoyed cupcakes before we explored the farm...

and then off we went!

 There were nature trails, hayrides...

a corn maze, old farm trucks...

 ice cream sandwiches...

 and cornhole.

 Sully found a cute little house to play in and he and I had so much fun 

playing "Peak-a-Boo" in the windows.

 It was such a fun way to celebrate Fall and Sara's Birthday.

Mommy, Sully and A COW

After dropping the big guys off at school this morning, I decided to take Sully on an adventure.

We headed to Hunter Farms and got right on a hayride.

Sully loves farm animals, he loves to name them and make their sounds.  He especially loves cows and was so excited to see a momma cow and her new calf (only 8 days old)

I told Sully that the baby cow was sleeping and he started to tell everyone, "shhhhh - a baby"

 We visited lots of other animals - goats, pigs, sheep and chickens..

 Sully spent a great deal of time with ducks, and while he looks to be crying and/or hurt by his arm in the fence, he is neither.  Sullivan would reach his arm through the fence and yell "QUACK" over and over.  It was so cute, especially when the ducks quacked back!

 After visiting the other animals, Sully returned to the cow, this time however, 

he shouted "A Cow - MOOOOO" 

 Finally, it was time to head back.  

After saying "goodbye" to the baby cow, we got back on the hayride.

It was such a special adventure, just Sully, Mommy and A COW

Happy Birthday, Gill!

Today, we celebrated Gill's 41st Birthday.

We had a special breakfast celebration for Daddy, complete with Train cards...

 presents...

 Daddy's favorite muffins (and apparently Sullivan's too)..

 and cake!

 We hope we made Gill feel as special as he makes us feel every day.

Too Big Tuesday

Sully once again proved that he can play with the big guys.  

In fact, Sullivan seems to have more of a love for tball than his big brothers!

He continuously set up the tee, put the ball on top and hit it with the bat.
