Summer Fun Week One

This was our first week of summer vacation and we had so much fun with our themed days:

Make It Monday
Today we painted bird houses, picked out by Sully.
After, we went to Dish It Out and painted special
Father's Day Gifts for Daddy and PopPop
In the afternoon we went to the library for Art Attack -
we learned about Jackson Polluc and then created our own masterpieces.

Take a Trip Tuesday
Our trip today was to the Museum of York County.
We played in the Vernon Grant inspired room and the naturalist center.
Then we went to the planetarium and all the boys enjoyed the show featuring aliens.
We learned all about the planets and it really felt like
 we were flying through outerspace.

 Wet and Wild Wednesday
We spent the morning at the sprayground today with friends.
It was VERY wet, but everyone had a great time.
In the afternoon we went swimming at Nannie and Pop Pop's pool - so fun!

Think about it Thursday
This morning we went uptown to Imaginon.
We explored the PBS "Arthur's World" exhibit
and then the rest of the children's library.
In the afternoon we went to the pool with Drew and Evan.
All the boys had a blast!

Fun with Friends Friday
Today we went to the playground and sprayground
with Emma, James, Charlotte and Nathan.
The kids got soaked at the sprayground
and then dried off while climbing, sliding and swinging
We all really enjoyed our first week of summer vacation and can't wait until next week's adventures!

Last Week of Kindergarten

This week was an exciting one at the elementary school and we loved participating!

On Monday, all the kids dressed in school colors and showed their school spirit.
Tuesday was Luau Day - the boys dressed the part!
After school they worked on their cards for their teachers
and then we went back to school to go into a first grade classroom
and learn all about next year.
 Wednesday was Crazy Clothes Day.
Patrick and Finnegan chose their own outfits - including different shoes, backwards shirts and pants/shirts pinned to their backs!
Wednesday night was filled with goodies for the next day.
Between the class party and teacher gifts,
there was lots of work to be done once the boys went to sleep.
Thursday was the End of Year Party.
We made friendship bracelets, picture frames, played pin the boats on the beach, musical chairs and enjoyed treats with the parents.

Horray for Kindergarten!
Friday was the last day of school.
Every friday morning Gill and the other "Hawk Dads" run the car line.
They always do fun "themes"and make every child feel special.
We made signs of appreciation for the great dads and put them on the mini-van.
The dads did a beach theme and Gill was running the line in his bathing suit!
After bringing Patrick and Finnegan through carline,
Sully and I walked inside with breakfast for the staff and set it up in the teachers lounge.
 Later in the morning,
Sully and I returned to school and brought them a special lunch for their last day.
Sully and I anxiously awaited for the guys to get off the bus.
He had a special treat for them and all the neighborhood kids - popsicles!

Goodbye Kindergarten - hello Summer!

End of the Season

Today was the last day of the soccer and tee-ball seasons.

Sully and I brought donuts for the families
as we watched the guys play tee-ball with Nannie and PopPop.
Coach Gill was awesome and the kids had so much fun!
Love this picture, Patrick is right on Finn's heals as they both race home!
Then it was Sully's last game
He liked the running and playing goalie, but then was ready for a snack.
Instead of a snack, we headed to Five Guys for burgers and fries -
a yummy way to end the seasons!
