Flashback Friday

All of my boys love the bouncy seat.
As I watch Sully enjoy a rest in it today,
I remember when Patrick and Finnegan would nap in their seats, too.

Little Things Thursday

The boys loved deciding what to wear today.
Yes, sometimes even a Fashion Faux Pas can make you happy!

The Great Outdoors

During the past few weeks we have been taking advantage of any beautiful days we are given.  It's a great opportunity to get the whole family out of the house and get out some of that toddler energy!

Here is a recap of some of our favorite adventures:

A Saturday outing with Daddy!

The big brothers helped Mommy push Baby Sullivan:
They dug in the dirt and wiped the mud on the bricks:

We found a new playground to explore:

Went to the fountains (and Gill went diving for Lightning McQueen)
and enjoyed a lunch outside.

Sunday morning at the playground

Finn and Patrick went down lots of big slides while Sully slept through all the excitement!

A visit from Grandma, Grandpa and Uncle Brendan

We took the whole family to the playground...

and met up with some of our best pals!

Another great morning...

digging in the dirt with Aidan and Ella
and swinging like big boys!

I never thought I'd say it, but, I LOVE THE OUTDOORS!

Flashback Friday

I am proud to say that yesterday I ventured out by myself with all the boys.  We managed a trip to the doctor and 2 separate visits to 2 different playgrounds.  I will admit, it was not easy, but it felt great to be out with my boys!

I couldn't believe I was strapping Sullivan into his carseat while his big brothers climbed in their seats all by themselves.

It made me think back to my first outing with Patrick and Finnegan:

A Room with a View

In the early morning hours, while the rest of the family is asleep, Sullivan and I sit in the nursery rocking chair for some quiet time.  We look out the window and his eyes light up when the sun begins to rise and the sky is filled with colors.

I, on the other hand, prefer the view of the beautiful baby lying on my chest.

Kilcoyne Creative Arts

The boys and I have been home a lot lately, trying to keep everyone healthy and get Baby Sully into a routine.  We've been coming up with exciting new projects, most of which involve some version of playing with their cars and trains.

Our first art project started out with finger painting.
Then, we decided to add cars and drive them through the paint.

The final step was making a carwash to clean all the cars and hopefully the boys' hands as well.

Our second art project was inspired by the snowstorm our families in NJ were experiencing.
We created winter weather with Gill's shaving cream and the boys raced their cars through the snow.

What a blast!

Bath Time!

Last night we gave Sully his first bath.  We bathed him in the baby tub on the sink, while Big Brothers bathed in the tub - it was lots of fun! It also made me reflect back to Finn and Patrick's first baths.

Firefighters!

During their visit, Nana and PopPop surprised Patrick and Finnegan with a special surprise!  My big boys became firefighters - complete with axes, fire extinguishers, walkie talkies, hoses and badges!  They love pretending to put out fires - especially when Mommy is cooking in the kitchen.

Sullivan's Homecoming

After what felt like a very short stay in the hospital, we brought Sullivan home on Wednesday.

Gill and I bundled him up...

and arrived home to two very excited big brothers!!

Patrick, Finnegan and Maggie all checked out Sully...

and then the boys got their New Babies (and gear).

Patrick and Finn presented Sully with lots of cars and trains - it was so sweet!

Nana and Pop Pop cuddled up with their new grandson....

and we posed for our first family picture.

What a wonderful homecoming!
