Sullivan's 3rd Birthday

I don't know how it happened, but our littlest boy turned three years old!

Sullivan's 3rd Birthday Celebration started yesterday with a party at preschool.
I brought juice boxes and a Lightning McQueen cupcake-cake to his class,
Sully and his friends were all so excited for the treats.
This morning, we had a special family Birthday Breakfast before the big guys went to school.  Sully asked for donuts - so that's what we enjoyed!  Patrick and Finnegan had each purchased a special gift for Sully and they were so proud to give it to him.
After Daddy and brothers went off, Sully and I headed to meet Jo, Lil and the babes for another celebration.  Sweet Lil gave Sully his birthday present, and lots of hugs.
Later, we met up with Nannie and Pop Pop for mini-bowling and bouncing in the bounce houses.
After wearing himself out bouncing, Nannie and Pop Pop took us for a special birthday lunch before we went home.
Sully ended his day at the elementary school Valentine's Day Dance!  That's right, why act like a three year old when you can dance with six year olds?!?!
Happy Birthday, sweet Sullivan.
You are such a bright, funny and kind little boy.
I'm so happy to have spent such a special day with my big boy!

Masterpiece Monday

Last week, Sully started classes at Noah's Art.
We were excited to begin and it really caught Sully's attention.
The theme for the day was "Orange" and "Rectangles"
The teacher read a story about a cat and it's favorite color and then we got to work.
We mixed red and yellow, put orange stripes on a cat,
raced trucks in paint and even made a "pumpkin"
All while sitting across from Liliana!!
We had a fun time in class today
and I really think Sully will enjoy this new art school!

Flash-Forward Friday

This week Sullivan and I went to school to have lunch with Finn and Patrick.
It occurred to me, as Sully walked in (lunch box in hand) that it won't be long before he's having lunch in that cafeteria every day.
It feels like time is going by so fast.  Our littlest one so desperately wants to do everything his big brothers are doing, and for the most part he can.
I know they will always make room for him at the lunch table.

Sully made the greatest creation in school today -
Spaghetti and Meatballs made out of yarn and pompoms!
Now that's a spicy meatball!

A Very Big Number

Today I am happy to announce that we have finally put an end to a very big era.

Very Big.
16,425 BIG

That's right, our littlest boy is now potty trained!!!
I won't lie, potty training is not fun nor easy for anyone, but after
3 boys for 3 years using 5 diapers per day for 365 days per year -
we are very happy to have those 16,425 diapers behind us.

HORRAY FOR POTTIES
HORRAY FOR POTTY TRAIING!
HORRAY FOR UNDERPANTS!!!

Big Guys Day Out

Today was the most unusual day.  Patrick and Finnegan had the day off of school but Sully still had preschool.  The big guys walked their little brother to his class room and Sully was not happy to say "goodbye".

Then, the Big Boys and I headed to the movies to see Monsters Inc in 3D.  We had the glasses, the give-aways, and a very large popcorn!  The boys and I had a great time.  They were a bit nervous and skeptical about the monsters, but ended up having a blast.  We really enjoyed the fact that the big blue monster's name was "Sully"
After the movie we went back to preschool to pick up a very happy Sullivan!  He was so excited to take his big brothers to the school playground.  Even though it was cold, the three boys played for a very long time and were all smiles.
We love having Patrick and Finnegan home during the week!

Monster Jam

This weekend I surprised Patrick, Finn and Gill with a BIG SURPRISE!
While Sully was home with me, potty training, the big guys and daddy went to the Time Warner Arena for monster truck MONSTER JAM.
I got the boys special "Pit Passes" that allowed them to get up close and personal with the trucks and drivers before the show.  Gill said they had a blast!
Patrick chose "Grave Digger" as his favorite,
while Finnegan routed for "Stone Crusher"
The guys waved their flags and cheered for the trucks.
The big guys came home with Monster Smiles!!

Flashback Friday

This past month, Sully's love of Lightning McQueen and all things CARS has gone full-force.He sleeps with Lightning (and 5 of his friends), eats, plays and even quotes Lightning McQueen all day long.
Here's a look back to Sully's first Lightning McQueen.
Finn gave it to him when he was 3 months old, and we still have it in the collection.
While Baby Sully looks non-too impressed with the car,
I had a hunch, that the day would come where he would love it.  And the day is here!

Masterpiece Monday

The boys have made so many beautiful Christmas artwork this holidays season,
but this one of my favorites.

Sully made it at preschool, out of a roll of toilet paper and some straw.
I'm not sure what's the best part, how proud Sully is of his ornament or
that he calls it "Baby Cheese-Itz"
