Snow Day!

The boys waited and waited and waited... and finally the day arrived-

Snow in Charlotte!

On Tuesday night, after dinner, the snow began to fall.

We bundled up and went outside to play!

 After an hour outside, we went back in for 

hot chocolate, donuts and Connect 4.

The boys stayed up late, because school 

had already been called off for Wednesday.

 After breakfast on Wednesday, we went back outside to play in all 2 inches of snow - with Daddy!

 

 

We spent the afternoon watching movies, bundled up by the fire

and ended with breakfast for dinner - with snowflake pancakes!

MLK Weekend

We had a 4 day weekend and while Saturday and Sunday were filled with family,

 Monday and Tuesday were filled with friends!

On Monday, we went to Kara's new home for a visit.  

In the afternoon, we took all the kids to Cinebarre for dinner and a movie.

 The boys won't admit enjoying Frozen because of all the princesses, 

but everyone had a great time!

On Tuesday, we met up with some classmates at Plaza Fiesta.
The boys climbed, slid and jumped for a solid 2 hours.

Sully's Sleepover

Earlier in the week, before bedtime, 

Sully marched into his big brothers' room and said, 

"Hey Guys, you want to come to a Sleepover in my Room?"

That's right, Sully wanted to have his first sleepover, and the boys were in!

After school on Friday, Sully and I went to the store to pick out snacks for his big night. We rolled out 3 sleeping bags, set out the snacks, put on "The Incredibles", and the boys settled down for the big night.  Sully was so happy!

 There were tons of giggles and silliness coming from Sullivan's room.

After the movie was over, the boys were reading with their Flashlight Friends.   We could hear Patrick and Finn taking turns reading stories to Sullivan.  Such great big brothers.

The boys were up very late, but it was worth it.

A WHEELY Fun Day

After weeks of preparation, the day was here...

The CubScout Pinewood Derby Race!

Our boys were ready to race!

 

The races started and the competition was fierce

 The first few heats were tough

and then... Finnegan won a heat!  

He received a ribbon and was smiling from ear to ear

The next heat had big competition - but that didn't stop Patrick from winning!!

The boys had a great cheering squad

 Sully was so proud of his brothers and even had his own car 

that he made with Daddy to enter in the sibling races -

  Not only did Sully race with the siblings - he won!

We celebrated with a great lunch with Nannie and Pop Pop

 and really sweet treats!

  To top off the great day, Gill took all 3 boys to Monster Jam with the Callow Boys.

Chris was generous enough to get all 6 boys (and 2 dads) tickets to the suite.  The kids got to go to the pit and see the trucks up close, before going up to the suite and watching the trucks while eating yummy food.

 Finn was in full Monster Jam spirit - complete with a "Grave Digger" Face.

What a day!
