Family Day

Today was a very special day for our family. On July 17, 2007, we brought Finnegan home from the NICU. We waited desperately for that day to come and sometimes I feel like the anniversary of our family's reunion is just as important as a birthday.

Gill and I try to do something special every year to mark the occasion, though we have yet to share the reasoning behind the day with the boys.

We drove down to Columbia, South Carolina and spent the day at the RiverBank Zoo.

All 3 boys explored the aquarium together, all the while Sullivan yelled, "Fishies!"

Patrick and Finn helped another young family -
they fed a mother and baby giraffe.

The big guys rode an elephant...

ok, not a real one, but still!

During a snack break, the boys once again proved that just because they are twins, they don't enjoy the same things.

Patrick and his Plain Vanilla Ice Cream

Finn and his Krazy Kolors Cup!

A family Carousel Ride

At the zoo playground, the big guys proved just how grown up they are.
They helped Sullivan go down the slide for his first (and second, and third) time.

We ended our visit with a train ride - that's right, we can find trains wherever we go!

(Sullivan loved it and cheered - Choo Choo the whole time)

It was a great Family Day!
