About Last Night

Yesterday was the most fabulous day.  Gill had been hinting about it for a few days, but finally made it official - he gave me 2 tickets to the New Kids on the Block Concert with a Meet and Greet!

I know it sounds silly, but it was a dream come true!  25 years ago this summer, Mom and Dad gave me tickets to see NKOTB at Giant Stadium.  We went together as a family, and I'll never forget it.  So, after all this time, to finally meet the band was beyond exciting.  I was so happy that Rebecca (my boy-band buddy) was able to come with me on the short notice.

Mom and Dad graciously agreed to take the boys for the afternoon so Rebecca and I could leave early and head uptown.  After battling tons of traffic and city parking, we finally got to the arena.  It took a while but were finally directed to the right area, given tickets, special wrist bands and a private escort by security thru the empty arena, past the stage and to the catering hall where we waited for the band to arrive.

Gill's client had arranged VIP treatment and certainly did not disappoint.  Within minutes of arriving, we saw them coming down the hall.  We went behind the big black curtain and there they were!  Rebecca and I hugged our teenage crushes, and while we couldn't put sentences together and giggled like school girls, we did manage to pose for a picture!!  Before we knew it, we said "Goodbye" and left them to meet other fans.
There was plenty of time before the concert was to start, so we headed to the Epicenter and enjoyed NKOTB cocktails at The Tin Roof while listening to the boy band music they were playing.
Much to our surprise, when we arrived back to the concert, our tickets were fantastic as well!  With 5th row center seats, we had a perfect view of the performers!  We were seated next to the band's stylist and other members of their team.
The New Kids did NOT disappoint.  The concert was fantastic, we stood and danced the entire time.
I couldn't have asked for a more amazing night!
