Summer Fun Week 6

This week was out of the ordinary, 

because Patrick and Finnegan were in Camp Invention all day from Monday thru Thursday.

On Monday, Sully had a playdate with Eli while is brothers were away.  They played Wii, had a silly lunch together, beat me at a game of Uno Attack and went swinging and sliding outside.

 On Tuesday and Thursday, Sullivan got to go to his own camp at My Gym.  The kids played in the ball pit, swung from the monkey bars, had all kinds of games and had an overall great time.

Thursday afternoon was the end of Camp Invention.  Gill and I went to the school to see all the things the boys had created during the week.  They built some fantastic items including heat rays, weather sticks, mazes and robots.  I even got to witness the boys race their cartwheel racers thru an obstacle course.  

I love how much the boys loved camp.  We went out to TCBY to mark the end of their special week.

Fun with Friends Friday

Today we had a great day with our friends.  The Felty Girls joined us for the day of fun.

All six kiddos made their own pizzas for lunch, it was awesome what the created!

 After lunch the kids watched Hotel Transylvania and then we went outside to build a lemonade stand.

 We built the stand out of wine boxes and poster board and all the kids decorated it.

Then, they made signs to hang around the neighborhood

Sully and the girls made the lemonade and we were ready to sell

 Sully was so excited!!  

He has been asking to make a lemonade stand since the first day of summer!

 The kids had a blast selling lemonade.  

They made $18 all together and were super adorable salesmen.

Summer Fun Week 5

Sunday FunDay

Today was an awesome family outing!  We were invited by the Weimers to join them on their boat on Lake Norman.  It was the first time our family had been on a pontoon and it did not disappoint!  

We ate lunch on the boat...

EVERYONE took turns tubing off the back of the boat, in both a large family size, and a two-seater

and the kids spent a lot of time swimming in the lake!

It was an awesome day, and after hours on the boat and in the water, 

we were all thoroughly exhausted.

This week was not our usual, as PopPop enrolled Patrick and Finnegan in a golf camp.

Throughout the week, we did lots of fun things in the afternoon.

There was a LOT of swimming...

and sliding with PopPop!

 

Lots of playing on the playground...

 Lots of cold treats on the front porch... 

and lots of silliness!  On Friday we went with our friends to see the Minion movie.  But, not before the kids made Minion cupcakes, had Finnegan paint our faces like Minions and even dressed like the silly dudes.

To add to the fun, we're puppy-sitting sweet Beaux.  

That has added LOTS of fun into the mix.
