Summer Fun Week 7

Movie Monday
Today I took no pictures!  In the morning we went to the movies and saw Diary of a Wimpy Kid - based on P&F's favorite book series.  After, we had a picnic lunch at one of our favorite playgrounds, with a zipline

Take a Trip Tuesday
Today the trip was not a long distance away, but it did take a VERY long time!  In the morning, Sully had a special playdate with his friend, Colton.  Colton and his mom picked him up and took him to the movies.  While he was gone, the boys asked I take them to Toys R Us to use their birthday gift cards.

It took over 1.5 hours in the store for them to chose their special gifts, but they had so much fun and finally came up with some fantastic presents!

Wet and Wild Wednesday
We spent the morning with Amy and the boys.  The five boys had lots of silliness and tons of splashes!
Sully and Eli did some awesome jumps in the deep end!
While Patrick and Finnegan went up and down the giant slide!

Think about it Thursday
It's been a long time, but today we went back to the Nature Museum.  It was strange to see the boys experience the museum now,  quite different from when they were preschoolers (or smaller).
The boys stopped to actually look at the animals and rattle off information about them that they had learned at school or thru their books.  It seemed like the truly enjoyed the visit but it was clear that they had outgrown it.
We met up with Romie and Ashton and explored the outdoor area together.  The kids took all the logs and made a giant jenja set!
After the museum, we had a picnic in Freedom Park and the kids played at the new playground and kids football area.

Fun with Friends Friday
This morning we went to the Poole's home.  The boys played with the Poole girls while Melissa and I worked on the upcoming soccer event.
In the afternoon, Romie and Ashton came over to play.  I love how well they get along with all their sweet friends.

Saturday
Today Bloom was a co-sponsor of the Isabella Santos Battle of the Soccer Moms.  Patrick and Finnegan came to the fields with me super early to start event setup.
It was a beautiful, but hot, day!
The kids sold water bottles, gatorade and tickets for the bounce house and raised over $300 for pediatric cancer.
All together, the event raised $3,100 for the ISF Foundation and I'm proud to say that our entire family participated in making the event a success.
In the evening, we went the the Charlotte independence pro soccer game where the charity was presented with the check.  The boys were able to walk the players on the field and stand in the middle of it for the National Anthem.  Gill, Dad and I were so proud of them!
First ones in the stands, armed with snacks and ready for the game!
The game was a lot of fun, the seats were fantastic and I love how much the boys got into it.  We will definitely be back to cheer on our home team soon!
