This weekend we celebrated our 12th Wedding Anniversary. In the spirit of doing something we've never done before, I surprised Gill with a stay-cation. Our FIRST night away from our boys. That's right, the boys spent the weekend at Nannie and PopPop's house while Gill and I checked into a hotel in uptown Charlotte.
We went on a 2 hour segway tour through Charlotte. Gill loved the segway and was a speed-demon, I was much more hesitant but enjoyed seeing parts of the city we have never explored before.
After the tour, and a relaxing afternoon at the hotel,
we went out for a special dinner at a Chima, Brazilian Steakhouse.
In the morning, we slept in, had breakfast at the restaurant, and relaxed at the pool.
What a special weekend!
