A few weeks back, Gill had his monthly poker party at our home. I explained to Patrick and Finnegan that Daddy was having a poker party and they could help me set up. The boys were thrilled to hear that we were having a party and immediately wanted to know where the cupcakes were!
While they were disheartened by the lack of balloons and cupcakes,
Finnegan found a poker party hat and loved it!
Since then, the boys have asked Gill constantly about his Poker Parties.
When we visited Gill at the office for the first time,
Patrick even asked him if that's where he had his Poker Parties!
So, when Grandma Peg sent the boys a First Day of School gift,
the boys were thrilled to find Lightning McQueen playing cards!
We opened the box in the park in our neighborhood and they could not wait to
start "playing". Basically, they just found as many different pictures of cars as they could and started to trade them....
they may not know what they are doing yet, but they are having a blast playing cards!
(remarkably like the guys in Gill's Poker Night)
Pretty soon Patrick and Finnegan will be inviting Daddy to Poker Night!
