Gifts

Today, a friend asked me what was my favorite gift from Christmas, given or received.  My first thought was my new camera from Gill, as now I can take better pictures of my boys, faster!  But, then I realized, it was not the best gift of Christmas, not by far.

For the weeks before Christmas, Patrick kept saying that all he wanted from Santa was a sailboat for the tub.  He even drew a picture of him receiving his boat:

On Christmas morning, Santa did not disappoint.  Patrick opened his first gift to find a set of 3 sailboats.  My sweet boy exclaimed, "Great!  Now I have one for Finn and one for Sully, too!"

His immediate generosity and love towards his brothers, reflected what Christmas is all about.

And witnessing it, was my best gift of Christmas.

Santa arrived

and brought with him all the wonders of Christmas morning!

 Nothing says "Christmas" quite like riding new bikes in Christmas PJ's!

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve was a wonderful, peaceful day.

We spent the morning outdoors, visiting the Anne Springs Greenway.

We visited with horses, sheep, goats and donkeys.

Sully, Patrick and Finn loved exploring the greenway and 

we loved spending the quiet morning with our family.

In the afternoon, we joined the Weltz Family for their Christmas Eve Celebration.

Lots of friends, lots of food, and a whole lot of laughter!

After, both families headed over to church and were pleasantly surprised when they invited the kids to join the service.  The boys were shepards and the girls were angels.

It was a special service and we loved that the whole family was involved.

We ended our wonderful day by having a Christmas cookie...

before setting them out for Santa.
